Prof. Sumantra Bose interacts with CUK students

The Department of Politics and Governance, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) today organised an interaction session of Prof. Sumantra Bose, Professor, International and Comparative Politics, London School of Economics, with the students at Nowgam-I academic block here.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir, Prof. Noor Ahmad Baba, Department of Politics and Governance, Coordinator, Dr. Abhiruchi Ojha and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.

Prof. Sumantra Bose discussed threadbare the existing conflicts across the world and the adverse effects of such situations on the people living at these places. He said that all the conflicts could be resolved amicably provided the States involved have the resolve and courage to do so.

Prof. Bose cited examples of the ways and means adopted by several countries for conflict resolution. He also discussed extensively the prevailing situation in the Kashmir valley.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din, thanked Prof. Sumantra Bose for the informative lecture. He asked the Department of Politics and Governance to organise more such lectures so that the students remain abreast with the political developments happening across the world. 

Assistant Professor, Department of Politics and Governance, Dr. Khalid Waseem, conducted the programme proceedings while as Coordinator of the department, Dr. Abhiruchi Ojha, proposed the vote of thanks.
