Amid the detoriating situation in the valley, Governor NN Vohra today met Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence in New Delhi.
Sources said, during the 40 minute long meeting Singh and Vohra discussed the ground situation in the valley.
Issues like students protest, separatist activities and militant attacks were discussed at the meeting, officials sources said.
Governer NN Vohra is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Nodi later in the evening.
Earlier the Election commission of India has cancelled the by-poll for Anantanag constituency which was scheduled on 25, May. The ECI said that the ground situation is not conducive to hold free and fair elections in the valley.
