The historic Mughal road, linking Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region, reopened Monday after remaining closed for three days due to fresh snowfall.
A traffic police official said that traffic on 86-km-long Mughal road was resumed at 0900 hrs this morning for one-way only.
“Vehicles were plying from Shopian to Rajouri and Poonch today. No vehicle is allowed from the opposite direction,” He said.
The historic road was reopened early last week after remaining closed for four months due to bad weather and snow accumulation at several places, including at famous picnic spot Pir-ki-Gali.
