Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute organises Swachhta Pakhwada

Central Sericultural Research and Training Institute, Central Silk Board, Pampore and its nested units spread in seven states of NW India is organizing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ from 1st May to 15th May 2017, a statement issued here said.

The 15 day Swachhta Pakwada was formally inaugurated today by Dr. M.K. Ghosh, Director CSR&TI, Pampore at its Pampore campus.

During his inaugural speech, he stressed on the importance of clean India and urged all the employees to actively participate in clean India campaign to eliminate all the bad reasons from the society causing obstruction in the growth and development of our country.

On this occasion a mass pledge was taken by the employees for actively participating in cleanliness programmes and devoting a minimum of 100 hrs per year towards cleanliness of the surroundings and maintaining personal hygiene.

The programme coincided with the celebration of International Labour day. On this eve the Director elaborated the importance of this day.

All staff members, their families and students of local schools are going to actively participate in ‘Sawachhta Pakhwada’ during which the staff members have been advised to ensure installation of dustbins in premises of the CSR&TI, Pampore and its units. They have been told to display banners on Swachhta to aware staff, families and students.

Installation of permanent instructional boards in campuses, organization of essay, elocution and drawing competitions for staff and their families have also been chalked out.

The statement said that members will also conduct expert talks on importance of cleanliness and sanitation.

The inauguration function ended with the vote of thanks extended by Dr. Babulal, Scientist-D which was followed by quiz, drawing and speech competition on swachta.
