Panic gripped Anzwalla and adjoining villages in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district after a wild bear was spotted roaming in these areas, locals said.

They said that after the wild animal was spotted, wildlife officials were informed immediately so that the animal could be trapped.

 “We have rushed our team to capture the bear without any loss,” said a wildlife department official.
