Sending daughters on India tour is a slap on face of Kashmiri nation: Asiya

SRINAGAR: Stating the sending girl students on India tour without guardians (Muharram) was against the teachings of Islam, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chief, Asiya Andrabi Friday said that people sending their daughters on such tours should introspect about their faith.
“Sending daughters on India tour with gair muharram is an insulting slap on the face of an every honorable Muslim,” Asiya said, according to a DeM statement.
She said that Shariah “does not permit sending girl students even with their teachers on such tours.”
“What these girl students do in these so-called educational tours is a slap on the whole Kashmiri nation,” she said, adding “the group of students from Kashmir University and other colleges who recently returned from the India tour should serve as example.”
While asking parents to prevent their daughters from going on India tour, Asiya said “Representation of Kashmir by girl students is not right in any sense.’
