Self-employment programs in Anantnag reviewed

ANANTNAG: District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Friday stressed upon the concerned authorities to work for the quick disposal of the cases of unemployed youth for establishment of income generating units.
District Development Commissioner, according to an official statement, was addressing the local advisory committee meeting of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), here. The meeting was attended by all the members of LAC Committee including Lead Bank, Project Director DRDA Anantnag, Assistant Directors of Handicrafts & Handlooms, Principal ITI and other concerned officers.
All the matters related to the different training programmes being imparted through the institutions via different state and central sponsored programmes including UDAAN and HIMAYAT were discussed.
It was given out in the meeting that 38 awareness programmes 07HRD programmes 06 training programmes have been organised by the rural self employment training institute during 2013, besides imparting training to 156 candidates during the year under different trades which include dairy farming, sericulture, poultry, sheep rearing bee keeping and dairying, vermin composting It was also given out in the meeting that 11 candidates from Punjab have been provided MBA finance training for two months besides 60 VLW.
Capital budget requisition for construction of college building, revenue budget through revolving fund and other related matter were also discussed threadbare.
District Development Commissioner impressed upon all the concerned officers to work in close coordination so that the different government run programs especially for skill development of unemployed youth are imparted with cent percent success.
