Srinagar: Chief Minister has expressed deep concern over the road accident at Gund in Kangan area of Ganderbal, in which several Amarnath pilgrims returning to Srinagar after performing the Yatra were injured.
Taking note of the incident, the CM directed that the injured be provided the best possible medical care. He has also deputed Health Minister sakinaitoo to visit SKIMS and oversee the treatment of the pilgrims.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also visited SKIMS to enquire about the welfare of the injured yatris and directed hospital authorities to ensure all necessary assistance and specialized care.
Pertinently, 33 yatris were injured after their bus bearing registration No. AR11D/5655 rolled down into a gorge at S-Mode Hariganiwan in Gund on Tuesday. The injured were shifted from SDH Kangan to SKIMS for advanced treatment.
