CUK’s SLS holds legal awareness prog

GANDERBAL: The Pro Bono Club, Department of Law, School of Legal Studies (SLS), Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir), organised a legal awareness programme at Sainik School, Manasbal.
Dr. Hilal Ahmad Najar, Coordinator, Pro Bono Club, introduced the Club and elucidated its objectives. The students were addressed by three student speakers from the department namely Mr Nazakat Ali Khan, Ms Fizza Assad, and Mr Mohsin Farooq, who deliberated on the topics of ‘Rights of Children with Disabilities’, ‘Juvenile Delinquency’, and ‘Ragging and Penal Provisions for Its Prevention’ respectively.
The students engaged the school students in various interactive activities, including Stack & Run, Cups and Balloons, and an icebreaker game. These activities, which witnessed participation from the students, were conducted by Ms Matiha Khan, Mr Nazakat Ali Khan, Ms Bisma Muzaffer, Ms Aleena Syed, Mr Mohsin Farooq, and Mr Sujeet Kumar.
The event was moderated and concluded by Dr Mohammad Younus Wani, Sr. Teacher, Sainik School Manasbal with a vote of thanks. The school management expressed gratitude to the School of Legal Studies for organising the programme.
