Kupwara: Two persons including an 18-year-old girl were killed and 3 others were injured when a private car rolled down into a nalla due to slippery conditions in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Monday morning.
Officials said that a Maruti Alto car bearing registration number HR51AU-7420 fell into a nallah after the driver lost control due to slippery condition of the road caused by fresh snowfall in Kralgund area. The deceased have been identified as Usma Iqbal, 18, daughter of Mohd Iqbal Bhat of Rashinpora Kralpora, and Mohammad Maqbool, who succumbed at a Srinagar Hospital later during the day.
The other injured have been identified as Bashir Ahmad Beigh, the driver, Asif Ahmad Bhat, and Jabeena Begum, all residents of Ratnipora Kupwara.
