HAJIN: Strict restrictions were imposed in north Kashmir’s Hajin on Thursday after four persons were tested positive a day ago.
People were not being allowed to enter or leave the area.
Early morning, Municipal Committee Hajin started a sanitisation drive in the area.
Chairman Municipal Committee Hajin Irshad Ahmad said that fresh drive was launched in view of fresh positive cases.
Police, Revenue officials and other departments have conducted door to door screening of the people who came into direct contact with the people tested positive.
On Thursday the families of four who were tested positive were sent to Shilvat Tibiya college and were put under quarantine by the administration.
District Administration Bandipora has appealed people of Hajin to stay at home and inform about travel history.
