Srinagar: On the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha called for renewed resolve to protect youth and realize the vision of a ‘Nasha Mukt J&K’.
In a post on X, the LG said, “On Int’l Day Against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking, let’s reaffirm our resolve to protect youth & realize the vision of a Nasha Mukt J&K. Through collective action, awareness & social responsibility, we can defeat this menace & build a healthier society for future generations.”
The LG stressed that defeating the drug menace requires combined efforts from administration, civil society, and citizens. He urged all stakeholders to strengthen awareness campaigns and uphold social responsibility to safeguard future generations from substance abuse.
The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed globally on June 26 to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving a drug-free world.(GNS)
