SSP Bandipora chairs SANJY security review meeting

BANDIPORA: In preparation for the smooth and secure conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026, a comprehensive security review meeting was held today at Sumbal under the chairmanship of SSP Bandipora Ajaz Ahmed Zargar-JKPS.
The meeting was attended by Commanding Officers of CRPF 45 Battalion, CRPF 3rd Battalion, SSB 2nd Battalion, Adhoc Commanding Officers of 15 and 16 Adhoc SSB Battalions, Company Commanders of 13 SSB Companies, Officer Commanding 24 RR, Zonal and Sectoral Police Officers, besides SDPO Sumbal, DySP DAR Bandipora, and SHOs of Police Stations Sumbal and Hajin.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the security arrangements and deployment plan was undertaken. Discussions focused on inter-agency coordination, area domination, anti-sabotage measures, traffic regulation, quick response mechanisms, communication systems, and contingency planning to ensure the safe and hassle-free movement of Yatris.
Addressing the officers, SSP Bandipora stressed the importance of seamless coordination among all security agencies and directed the officers to remain vigilant, maintain a high level of operational preparedness, and ensure strict implementation of the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He emphasized that every effort must be made to provide a secure and peaceful environment for the pilgrims.
The participating officers also shared operational inputs and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining robust security arrangements for the successful conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
