Devotees throng Lal Sahib Shrine in Bandipora’s Argam for Urs

BANDIPORA: Thousands of devotees from different parts of Kashmir on Thursday thronged the shrine of revered Sufi saint Lal Sahib Argami at Argam in north Kashmir’s Bandipora to participate in the annual Urs celebrations marked by religious fervour and devotion.
Devotees visited the shrine since early morning to offer fateha and special prayers, seeking peace, prosperity and communal harmony. The shrine reverberated with spiritual gatherings and recitation of verses during the annual congregation.
Among prominent personalities who participated in the Urs was senior Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party⁠ leader Imtiyaz Parray, who paid obeisance at the shrine and offered fateha on the occasion.
Parray also interacted with devotees and highlighted the importance of preserving Kashmir’s centuries-old Sufi traditions and spiritual values that promote brotherhood, peace and mutual coexistence.
Locals said the annual Urs of Lal Sahib Argami holds immense religious significance in the region and attracts devotees in large numbers every year.
