Dr. Farooq offers tribute to Nazir Ahmad Lone Johar

SRINAGAR: On the third death anniversary of Nazir Ahmad Lone, widely revered as Nazir Johar, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Monday paid a heartfelt tribute to the late writer, social activist and cultural icon.
While paying tribute to late Johar, Dr. Farooq said, “Nazir Johar was not just a writer, but a beacon of hope and a champion of the people. His literary works, including ‘Lolab Jahaan Hai’ and ‘Baatei Hai, Baaton Ka Kya’, beautifully captured the struggles and culture of Kashmir. His activism, centered on justice and social equity, profoundly impacted the marginalized people he served. Nazir’s voice, rooted in both literature and activism, will continue to inspire future generations. His legacy endures in his books and in the lives he touched.”
He prayed for peace to the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannat. Party’s General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Addl General Secretary and MP Rajya Sabha Chowdry Mohammad ramzan, Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani, Party’s North Zone functionaries and Legislatures have also paid tribute to late Johar on his third death anniversary.
