All newly elected district presidents attend executive council meet with respective district bodies
SRINAGAR: In a moment of institutional significance and collective affirmation, the Executive Council meeting of the Private Schools Association Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK) was convened at the prestigious Green Valley Educational Institute, Elahi Bagh, Srinagar. The meeting marked a defining milestone in the Association’s journey, culminating in the unanimous election of Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam Baba as the state President of PSAJK for a tenure of three (3) years.
This unanimous mandate reflects not merely procedural consensus, but a deep-rooted trust reposed by the fraternity of private educational institutions in a leadership known for its integrity, clarity of vision, and unwavering commitment to the cause of education in Jammu & Kashmir. The decision symbolizes unity of purpose and a forward-looking resolve to collectively navigate the evolving educational landscape of the Union Territory.
Subsequent to the election, a solemn and dignified oath-taking ceremony was held at the Ahmad Auditorium of Green Valley Educational Institute. The ceremony embodied both institutional decorum and aspirational momentum, setting the tone for a transformative tenure ahead.
The occasion was graced by distinguished national and regional education leaders, including Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma, National President of NISA, and Dr. Syed Shamael Ahmad, National President of PSCWA. Their esteemed presence underscored the growing national relevance of PSAJK and reaffirmed a shared commitment towards strengthening private education as a critical pillar of the country’s academic ecosystem.
The gathering was further enriched by the presence of eminent dignitaries such as Prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurda, a respected academic voice. The state Executive Council hailed Mr Farooq Ashai advisor PSAJK and conveyor was praised for his landmark role in streamlining the organization. Adv. Nadeem Qadri, who played a pivotal role in ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process as part of election commission Vijay Dhar; C. L. Vishan; and Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, Dr Farooq Wasil along with several other prominent stakeholders from the education sector.
A notable feature of the event was the full participation of all newly elected District Presidents, who attended along with their respective District Executive Bodies. Their presence symbolized grassroots representation, organizational cohesion, and the democratic strength of PSAJK as a truly representative body of private schools across Jammu & Kashmir. The marked the formation of central body where in note ably Mr Manzoor Ahmad wangnoo was resolved to lead the MEERC of PSAJK , the environmental committee of PSAJK. He was felicitated by Shri Shameil Ahmad and Shri Vijay Dhar chairman DPS Srinagar for his ” one tree one admission ” slogan.
The deliberations during the Executive Council meeting reflected a clear and structured roadmap for the future. Emphasis was laid on institutional strengthening, policy advocacy, regulatory balance, academic excellence, and the integration of innovation and technology within the schooling ecosystem.
