SRINAGAR:  National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah claimed on Friday that opposition parties are winning Assembly polls in the three key states of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

“I tell you, and the rest, god knows, Mamata Banerjee is winning in Bengal, Congress is winning in Kerala and (MK) Stalin’s party (DMK) is winning in Tamil Nadu. This is God’s blessing,” Abdullah told reporters at Hazratbal when asked about the ongoing elections.

Responding to a question on the conflict in the Middle East, the NC chief said peace is essential and expressed hope that the war would end as soon as possible.
