Seeks release of Baramulla MP
Srinagar: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Thursday expressed deep anguish over the worsening health condition of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, father of jailed Member of Parliament from Baramulla Er Rashid who has now been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a further deterioration in his condition.
In a statement issued here, Inam said that Khazir Mohammad Sheikh is battling a critical phase of illness, and the entire family is going through an extremely painful and distressing time. He said the absence of his son, who remains in custody, has only added to the family’s anguish during these testing moments.
Inam Un Nabi made a heartfelt appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to pray for the speedy recovery of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh.
The AIP spokesperson also urged the Government of India to take a compassionate and humanitarian view of the situation and release MP Er Rashid, so that he can be by the side of his ailing father and support his family in this hour of need. He emphasized that beyond legalities, this is a matter of humanity, where empathy and timely intervention are of utmost importance.
