Srinagar: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested an alleged Over Ground worker (OGW) of Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.
A police official said that following a tip-off, a police team during a raid arrested the Hizb OGW namely Showkat Ahmad Lone along with a Pistol and 4 rounds.
“Showkat was given a task by Hizb Divisional commander Riyaz Naikoo to carry out attacks and snatch weapons from government forces” he said.
A case U/S 7/25 A Act has been registered in police station and further investigation has been taken up.
