Srinagar: J&K Police have intensified operations in multiple districts, including Shopian, Pulwama, and Baramulla to dismantle militant networks and uphold peace and security across Jammu and Kashmir.
These ongoing crackdown efforts target individuals and support structures associated with banned organizations and anti-national elements such as JeI, JKNOP, and other subversive networks, a police spokesperson said in a statement.
On November 13, J&K Police conducted multiple searches in Shopian, focusing on locations linked with members and associates of JeI and JKNOP. “The operations aimed to identify individuals providing logistical or financial support to terror-related activities,” the spokesperson said. “These searches are part of a sustained campaign to strengthen the district’s security framework and prevent any anti-national activities.”
In Pulwama, the police carried out coordinated Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) across suspected sites as part of a broader campaign against anti-national elements, including members of JKNOP. “The operations sought to verify identities, gather intelligence, and strengthen surveillance to curb terror support networks. Several premises were searched, and individuals involved in unlawful activities were identified and verified, with police working closely alongside security forces to ensure public safety and stability,” the statement said.
In Baramulla, police executed a series of meticulously planned preventive operations to fortify internal security and neutralize disruptive elements. “During these operations, six individuals linked with subversive networks were detained; 22 properties associated with terrorist associates were searched; and 20 terror-linked individuals were taken into preventive detention,” police said.
Police booked individuals under UAPA, examined bail statuses, and initiated legal actions against absconding accused. Over 16 CASOs were conducted, and nearly 300 vehicles checked at various checkpoints to ensure compliance and gather intelligence.
J&K Police reiterated their unwavering resolve to continue such preventive and targeted operations across districts to dismantle militant support structures, curb anti-national propaganda, and preserve peace and order.
