SRINAGAR: In a landmark step to bridge access between Kashmir’s talented youth and global medical education opportunities, ISM Edutech Pvt. Ltd. inaugurated its new regional office in Srinagar, marking a significant milestone in its 22-year journey of transforming overseas MBBS education in India.
The ceremony, held at Radisson Hotel, Srinagar, was attended by top dignitaries, prominent doctors, educational leaders, and international delegates. This new center will be spearheaded by Mr. Omar Mattoo, a dynamic local leader deeply rooted in the valley, who brings both passion and familiarity to support students and families throughout the MBBS abroad process.
The evening was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Farooq Ahmad Shah, former IAS officer and Member of the Legislative Assembly (J&K), known for his leadership roles in education, tourism, and infrastructure development in the state. Several distinguished local dignitaries also marked their presence, including alumnus of various universities and satisfied parents adding international weight to the ceremony was a high-level delegation from the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), Kyrgyzstan, including: Mr. Daniial Chyngyshpaev, Vice-Rector, IHSM Elite Campus, Dr. Damira Maktybaeva, Head of Special Clinical Disciplines, and Ms. Kanykei Zhunushova, Senior Specialist, International Affairs.
They reinforced their long-standing collaboration with ISM Edutech and emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to offering high-quality, affordable medical education for Indian students.
The event also saw heartfelt participation from IHSM alumni, including Dr. Rinkle Sharma (Batch
2020), Dr. Farhaan Khan (Batch 2025), and Mr. Gh. Mohiudin Sheikh, father of alumni and Principal, Higher Secondary Institute Pulwama.
Representing the core ISM Edutech leadership, Dr. Osheeva Saksena (Head of Business Operations & Marketing), Mr. Ashish Kaw (Head of Growth & Strategy), and Dr. Shiv Shankar shared their vision for a transparent, affordable, and trusted overseas medical education ecosystem across India-now extending into Jammu & Kashmir.

The highlight of the evening was the launch of the ISM EDUTECH Kashmir center, unveiled jointly by the Chief Guest and international dignitaries. The announcement signals ISM’s plans to further diversify its global academic partnerships and destinations.
With over 15,000 Indian students already placed across NMC-recognized universities in Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan, ISM Edutech continues to be a leading force in international medical admissions. The Kashmir office will now serve as a trusted local hub-offering end-to-end guidance including university selection, admissions, visa, travel, and post-arrival support.
