Suspected militants today attacked government forces in Anantnag district of south Kashmir. According to the reports, many causalities are feared in the attack.
Earlier, authorities have put security forces on high alert ahead of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to south Kashmir district of Anantnag to interact with security force personnel.
Official sources said fresh advisory has been issued to field commanders to remain extra alert in entire south Kashmir, where security forces have been deployed in strength to foil any militant attack.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh was on a visit to the south Kashmir to meet the security forces and take stock of the security situation in the district.
