SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was disallowed from visiting Jama Masjid on Friday, expressed deep concern over rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
In a post on X, he stated, “As the threat of war intensifies and lives are lost, the people of Jammu and Kashmir bear the brunt, suffering immense hardships.” He called for urgent de-escalation, warning that continued hostility could lead to destruction. Despite being prevented from attending prayers, Mirwaiz reflected in spirit with those praying for peace, urging collective prayers for protection and wisdom.
