Srinagar: A CRPF personnel allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at a camp in Shivpora area of the city, officials said on Sunday.
Constable Nirmal Pal Singh shot himself with his service rifle inside the camp of 61 battalion CRPF, they said.
“He died on the spot. The exact cause that forced the jawan to take the extreme step is being investigated. Medico-legal formalities have been completed”, officials said.
