A 19-year-old boy drowned on Sunday when he was taking a bath along with his friends in Nilnaag pond of Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Sofaan, a student of class 12 is a resident of Shopian district and was staying with his uncle in Loolipora village.
Reports said that scores of youth who were present there tried hard to retrieve Sofaan from the pond.
However, the youth failed to rescue 12th class student till late evening hours.
