Bharat Bhushan Vyas has been appointed as Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.
1986 batch IAS officer, Vyas was states Principal Secretary and will replace B R Sharma.
Sharma is going to serve as advisor to Chief Minister.
The decision was taken by Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday in Jammu.
Vyas, as per sources was going to retire in November. However, sources say that he will serve as Chief Secretary for next two years of fixed term.
Rohit Kansal is likey to take as Principal Secretary.
