A militant was arrested on Friday after he tried to snatch the service rifle of a paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper at a bank in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Sources said that two militants barged inside the TP branch of J&K Bank in Lal Chowk Anantnag and attempted to snatch the rifle of a trooper.
“The bid was foiled by the troopers, leading to the arrest of a militant, identified as Muneeb Ahmad Malla of Reshipora Behibagh Kulgam,” they said.
Moreover the trooper was hit by a bullet in the incident, said the sources. The second militant managed to escape from the spot,sources added
