SRINAGAR: SRM Welkin School, Sopore beat Burn Hall School in the finals of “Khadijah memorial champions trophy” played here on Saturday.
Burn Hall School won the toss and decided to bat first and put a total of 81 runs on the score board in their allotted 10 over’s.
In reply SRM overhauled the set target in just 9.4 over’s.
Though the Burn Hall School put in their best efforts but SRM outclassed their competitors.
Hassan of SRM Welkin, Sopore walked away with Man of the Match award and Man of the Series was given to Labeeb of Burn Hall School.
Secretary Sports Council J&K, Nuzhat Gul, was the Chief Guest of the event. Ex Ranji player Omer Alam was also present on the occasion.
The annual inter school cricket tournament was organised by Green Valley Educational Institute in which 14 teams of different schools of the Valley participated.
