SRINAGAR: Sonwar Volleyball team beat Lawaypora Volleyball team by 2-1 sets in the finals of “Youth Volleyball championship” played here on Friday.
A total of three local teams participated in the championship.
The championship was organized under the aegis of Youth Engagement program by 79 Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (Srinagar).
Earlier the championship was inaugurated by Commandant CRPF 79 Bn, Kishore Kumar.
Speaking on the prize distribution ceremony Kumar highlighted the importance of sports and its impact on the society, thus motivating the local youth to join various sports programme of 79 Bn.
On this occasion Second in Command, Vishwa Deep Singh and other officers of the 79 Bn, CRPF jawans and local people were present to encourage the players.
