IS Library Self-Study Centre inaugurated at Hariganiwan Gund by SDPO Kangan, SHOs

Kangan: In a major boost to educational infrastructure in the area, the IS Library Self-Study Centre was formally inaugurated at Hariganiwan Gund on Saturday by SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina, SHO Gund Rayees Ahmad, and SHO Kangan Mohammad Younus.
The newly established self-study centre aims to provide a peaceful, disciplined, and modern study atmosphere for students preparing for various competitive examinations, including UPSC, JKPSC, SSC, Banking, Railway, Defence, NET/SET, and other entrance and recruitment examinations.
Speaking on the occasion, SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of creating quality educational spaces for youth. He said that such institutions play a vital role in channelizing the energy of young people towards constructive and productive activities, ultimately contributing to the overall development of society.
SHO Gund Rayees Ahmad also lauded the efforts of the management for establishing a facility that encourages focused learning and self-discipline among students. He highlighted that education remains one of the most powerful tools for empowering youth and shaping a better future.
SHO Kangan Mohammad Younus appreciated the initiative and said that providing students with a peaceful and motivating study environment is essential for helping them achieve their academic and career goals.
The library is equipped with several modern facilities designed to enhance the learning experience. These include high-speed Wi-Fi, 24×7 CCTV surveillance, fully air-conditioned study halls, power backup, charging points, comfortable seating arrangements, individual LED lights, drinking water facilities, newspapers, books, and daily sanitization measures. The centre will remain open from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, providing students with flexible study hours.
Students and local residents welcomed the establishment of the facility, stating that the region had long needed a dedicated and well-equipped study space. They expressed hope that the library would help aspirants prepare effectively for competitive examinations without having to travel to distant locations.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by local residents, students, social activists, and members of the library management, who termed the initiative a positive addition to the educational infrastructure of the area.
The management of IS Library stated that the centre has been established with the vision of creating a focused and motivating environment where students can pursue their academic goals with dedication and determination.
