SRINAGAR: Sintex, India’s leading and trusted manufacturer of quality water storage solutions, is expanding the reach of Sintex TruPuf, India’s first ‘truly’ insulated water tank — as Srinagar experiences rising temperatures. In Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological Department has issued heatwave warnings for several districts, including Srinagar, noting that temperatures in the Kashmir Valley are already above normal and are expected to rise further in the coming months. Therefore, the need for reliable water storage solutions has become more critical than ever.
Designed to endure extreme weather conditions, TruPuf features 50 mm polyurethane foam insulation that helps maintain the stored water’s temperature close to its original state. Engineered to perform in both intense heat and freezing cold, TruPuf offers reliable insulation across seasons and an effective and lightweight alternative to conventional steel tanks. Furthermore, the tank is made from 100% virgin, food-grade plastic, helping ensure safer water by avoiding the potential contamination risks associated with recycled materials that release microplastics in the water. It is further equipped with anti-microbial benefits that prevents microbial growth often accelerated by prolonged sun exposure, which can heat stored water, promote algae formation, and cause unpleasant odour—thereby ensuring safer, more hygienic water for everyday use.
Trupuf is designed to function like a thermos — maintaining the water’s original temperature regardless of the climatic conditions. With a thicker make and UV-stabilised outer shell, Trupuf deflects sunlight and prevents algae formation. The tank is equipped with unique self-Locking lid with ‘Hexa Bolts’ that secure the top from external interference. The central insulation layer reduces heat transfer, allowing the tank to maintain the water at its original filling temperature. Internal testing shows that the water temperature fluctuates by no more than 0.5°C from its original filling temperature, even in extreme climatic conditions.
Trupuf comes with a 15-year warranty, reflecting the quality and durability that Sintex has consistently delivered to its customers. A preferred choice for institutions, educational facilities, corporates, bungalows, and individual homes across regions, Trupuf meets the everyday demands of a wide user base. Backed by Sintex’s trusted quality, wide distribution and plumber network, and legacy of product innovation, the product continues to gain relevance in regions where climate conditions are reshaping everyday essentials.
Yashovardhan Agarwal, Managing Director, Welspun BAPL Ltd and Director at Sintex – “The Sintex Trupuf was created to solve a very real, everyday problem — water that becomes too hot and uncomfortable to use during peak summer. With heatwaves across the country, our focus is on making water storage safer, more comfortable, and more dependable for families and businesses alike. Trupuf brings together durability, hygiene, and thermal insulation in a way that genuinely improves how people experience stored water in extreme weather conditions. For us, smarter water storage is the first step toward healthier homes and communities.”
Sintex Trupuf is currently being actively promoted across high-temperature markets including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan, where the demand for climate-ready water storage solutions is on the rise. Each region presents unique summer challenges — from rooftop exposure in Delhi and UP to extreme heat in Rajasthan, Trupuf effectively addresses these conditions through its thicker make and enhanced insulation design.
