Srinagar: Continuing its relentless efforts under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached multiple properties worth approximately ₹2 crores linked to individuals involved in narcotics-related activities across the Union Territory.
In Srinagar, Police Station Bemina attached immovable property valued at around ₹1.5 crores belonging to accused drug peddler Mudasir Ahmad Pir alias Sahil alias Doge, son of Shareef-U-Din of Firdous Colony, Bemina. The property, comprising a double-storey residence and approximately 4 marlas of land, was attached under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act after confirmation from the SAFEMA, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Investigations revealed that the property was acquired through proceeds from illicit narcotics trafficking.
Similarly, in Kupwara, Srinagar Police attached a residential house and land worth approximately ₹50 lakhs belonging to notorious drug peddler Shafiq Ahmad Khawaja, son of Fateh Joo of Dildar, Kupwara. This attachment was carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 10/2024 registered at Police Station M.R. Gunj.
In Shopian, police attached a property valued at ₹22.35 lakh belonging to Gh Rasool Dar of Khurampora Trenz, Imamsahib, identified as acquired through proceeds from drug trade. The property, measuring 32 marlas, was attached in connection with FIR No. 35/2023, following legal procedures with full transparency.
Further, in Kulgam, properties belonging to drug offenders were also attached. Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir of Kujjar Frisal, Yaripora, had his residential house valued at ₹50 lakh attached under FIR No. 10/2021. Additionally, a single-storey house worth ₹52 lakh belonging to Feroze Ahmad Khan of Munnad, Yaripora, was attached under FIR No. 72/2023. All proceedings were conducted under the provisions of the NDPS Act, ensuring legal compliance.
J&K Police reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs by targeting both offenders and their illicit assets. The public is urged to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by sharing information related to drug trafficking and narcotics activities.
