Felicitates officers for NDPS crackdown

ANANTNAG: SSP Anantnag, Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS on Monday convened a crucial crime review meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag. The session was attended by senior officers including SP Headquarters Anantnag Sunny Gupta-IPS, ASP North Camp Aishmuqam Rameez Raja, DySP Headquarters Anantnag, DySP DAR DPL Anantnag, SDPOs, SHOs, and police post In-Charges.
The meeting focused on the current crime situation, investigation progress, and law enforcement strategies. Notably, SSP Nagpure felicitated SDPO Bijbehara, SHO Bijbehara, and DO Sanagam for their exemplary work in registering the highest number of cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, effectively striking a blow to drug traffickers and damaging their economic assets.
During the review, officers examined pending cases, investigation statuses, execution of warrants, and measures to improve the quality and timeliness of investigations. Emphasizing professionalism and accountability, SSP Nagpure directed officers to expedite investigations, enhance coordination, and strengthen case-building against criminals, especially drug peddlers. He underscored the importance of legally sustainable cases to ensure effective prosecution and emphasized preventive measures, proper record-keeping, and prompt follow-up in sensitive cases.
The SSP also stressed the need for close supervision at all levels, urging officers to work with dedication and integrity to ensure justice and public safety. This high-level review exemplifies the district’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement and tackling crime comprehensively.
