Srinagar Police hold felicitation ceremony for DGP Medal Awardees

SRINAGAR: In order to felicitate and boost the morale of Police officers and officials who have been awarded the prestigious DGP Medal for their exemplary and outstanding service in J&K Police, Srinagar Police organised a felicitation ceremony at District Police Lines Srinagar.

The ceremony was presided over by DIG CKR Srinagar Rajiv Pandey along with Dr. G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, who presented the DGP Medals and Commendation Certificates to the awardees in recognition of their outstanding contribution, dedication, and exemplary performance during the years 2024 and 2025.

The awarded officers/officials include: SP Tanweer Ahmad Dar, DySP Mohmad Yesser Parrey, DySP Shakir Hassan, DySP Vikram Nag, DySP Dheeraj Kumar, Inspr Mohd Iqbal Sheikh, Inspr Sheikh Wakeel, InsprReyaz Ahmad Khan, ASI Vikram Kumar Raina, ASI Mohd Yaseen, HC Arif Hussain, SgCt (Now) Vijay Chib, SgCt Vinod Kumar, SgCt Sanjeev Singh, SgCt Showkat Ahmad Dar, SgCt Rashpal Singh, SgCtSarvjeet Singh, SgCt Nisar Ahmad, SgCt Mohd Fareed, SgCt Mudasir Ahmad, SgCt Shabir Ahmad, SgCt Zahoor Ahmad, SgCt Sheikh Aadil Azad, Ct Mukhtar Ahmad, Ct Tanveer Ahmad and Ct Yawar Majid.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG CKR Srinagar congratulated the Medal recipients and appreciated the indomitable courage, commitment, and valour displayed by the officers/officials while performing their duties in challenging circumstances. He emphasized the need for continued dedication, professionalism, and public-oriented policing, and encouraged them to continue working with the same zeal and commitment in the service of the people.

SSP Srinagar also lauded the awardees for their exceptional service and devotion to duty, stating that such recognitions serve as a source of inspiration and motivation for the entire Police force.

The ceremony concluded with appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices rendered by the awardees in maintaining peace, law, and public safety in Srinagar district.
