SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah along with Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday paid rich tributes to party stalwart, former treasurer and former legislator from Zadibal, Sadiq Ali on his 15th death anniversary.
Recalling his astute political acumen and distinguished literary contributions, Dr. Farooq said, “Late Sadiq Sahib embodied integrity and unwavering principles. A man of remarkable versatility, he was an accomplished litterateur and a compelling orator. He left an indelible imprint on his colleagues and contemporaries; even his critics could not remain untouched by the force of his personality. I offer my heartfelt tributes on his death anniversary and pray that the Almighty grants him the highest place in Jannah.”
In his tribute, CM Omar Abdullah described the late leader as a politically conscious statesman, a committed environmentalist, and a prolific writer. He added, “Sadiq Ali Sahib made seminal contributions to society through his intellectual depth and served the party with exemplary dedication in various capacities, including as a legislator. His legacy remains a guiding light. I extend my profound respects and pray for eternal peace to his soul.”
