SRINAGAR: The Private Schools Association Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK) has announced that elections for district-level bodies in the Kashmir Division will be completed by March 30, 2026. The decision was made during a meeting of district presidents convened by the PSAJK Election Commission’s Convener, Farooq Ahmad Ashai.
The meeting, held in Srinagar, focused on finalizing arrangements for the upcoming elections. It was decided that the process will be overseen and monitored by a specially constituted Election Commission to ensure transparency, fairness, and democratic integrity.
The PSAJK has issued a formal notification urging all district units and members to adhere to the scheduled timeline and comply with the guidelines set by the Election Commission. The move aims to strengthen the democratic functioning of the association’s district bodies across Kashmir.
This development comes amid ongoing efforts to streamline the electoral process within the association, which plays a key role in representing private school stakeholders in the region. The elections are expected to be completed within the stipulated deadline, ensuring timely formation of new district bodies.
