CBK nabs habitual fake job fraudster

Srinagar: A long-evading fraudster involved in fake job scams targeting youth from Srinagar has been apprehended by the Special Crime Wing (SCW) of the Crime Branch Kashmir in Faridabad, Haryana.
The accused, Farhat Abbas Malik, son of Din Mohd Malik from Tendla Chilipingal in Doda district, was wanted in connection with FIR No. 02/2025 registered at PS SCW Crime Branch Kashmir. He had been cheating innocent youth by promising lucrative placements abroad, especially in Armenia, and had been evading arrest for several months.
The suspect was produced before a court in Srinagar after being brought from Faridabad under transit remand granted by the Duty Magistrate Court there.
The Crime Branch Kashmir has issued a warning to the public, especially youth, to be cautious of fake job placement agencies. They advised verifying the authenticity of recruitment consultancies to prevent falling prey to such frauds.
The investigation continues, and authorities emphasize the importance of vigilance to protect job seekers from exploitation by fraudulent elements.
