Kishtwar: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district on Sunday, officials said.
An official said that a joint team of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a cordon-and-search operation following intelligence inputs.
As forces approached a suspected hideout, the terrorists opened fire, triggering an exchange.
