One-week advanced entrepreneurship skill dev prog concludes at SKUAST-K Shuhama

SRINAGAR: The week-long Advanced Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme titled “Empowering High-End Agri-Entrepreneurs: Advanced Training in Sexed Semen Technology for Profitable Dairy Farming” successfully concluded on 10th February 2026. The valedictory function was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Shuhama campus of SKUAST-K.

Prof. Riyaz Ahmed Shah, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, served as the chief guest. In his address, he commended the initiative and emphasized the importance of organizing similar programmes in the future. He urged the participants to leverage the knowledge and skills gained for entrepreneurship development and congratulated the entire organizing team and the Division of ARGO for the successful execution of the programme.

Dr. Asloob Ahmed Malik, Head of the Division of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology, and Obstetrics (ARGO), formally welcomed the guests and congratulated the participants on completing the training. The trainees comprised agri-entrepreneurs and graduates from various fields across all districts of the Kashmir valley.

Expert speakers from renowned institutes across India, with extensive experience in sexed semen technology, delivered lectures to deepen the participants’ understanding of how this technology can enhance profitability in dairy farming.

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the programme during feedback sessions and emphasized the need for more such training opportunities in this domain.
