Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) will declare the results of Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on January 14, 2026 (Wednesday), Education Minister Sakeena Itoo said.
The minister said the government has decided to declare the results of both classes on the same day in view of the long wait by students. “We understand that students have been waiting for the results, so it has been decided that the results of both Class 10 and Class 12 will be declared on Wednesday,” she said.
Itoo said the Result Declaration Committee meeting will be convened by the Secretary JKBOSE along with its members, including the Directors of School Education for Kashmir and Jammu divisions and the joint secretaries. She added that administrative approval for the results will be granted by the government instead of the chairman.
The announcement comes at a time when the post of JKBOSE chairman has remained vacant for nearly a year. The minister said a permanent chairman will also be appointed after the declaration of the results.
Meanwhile, an official of JKBOSE said the Class 10 results will be declared in the morning, followed by the Class 12 results later in the afternoon on the same day. (KDC)
