Srinagar: Police in Awantipora have presented the challan in Case FIR No. 86/2025, registered under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act, before the court against 40 accused persons.
“These individuals are allegedly involved in anti-national activities, including crossing the border into Pakistan for illegal arms training, and did not return thereafter,” a police spokesperson said in a statement issued here.
He said the investigation was conducted by the SHO of Police Station Awantipora, under the supervision of the SDPO Awantipora. Following the completion of all legal formalities, the challan has now been submitted for judicial proceedings.
“J&K Police remains committed to taking firm and lawful action against offenders and ensuring strict adherence to the rule of law,” the spokesperson said.
