NEW DELHI: The IPL 2026 auction will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16, with all 10 franchises set to fill up to 77 available slots in a day-long exercise.

Kolkata Knight Riders heads into the auction with the biggest purse of Rs. 64.3 crore after retaining just 12 players from its 2025 squad, while Chennai Super Kings follows with Rs. 43.4 crore.

At the other end, Mumbai Indians has the smallest purse at Rs 2.75 crore, with Punjab Kings next in line at Rs. 11.5 crore.
