‘Focus on public issues, party strengthening initiatives’
SRINAGAR: The two-day Working Committee meeting of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference commenced on Thursday at the party headquarters, Nawa-i-Subh, Srinagar.
Chaired by Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, the session was attended by Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with all Working Committee members and special invitees.
The meeting will continue tomorrow, with deliberations focused on key organizational matters as well as pressing public issues.
Among those present were Additional General Secretary Ajay Sadhotra, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Cabinet Ministers Sakina Itoo, Javed Ahmad Dar, Satish Sharma Members of Parliament Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Mian Altaf Ahmad, Sajad Kichloo, Shami Oberoi, Hon’ble MLA’s, Provincial Presidents Ratan Lal Gupta and Adv. Showkat Ahmad Mir, as well as other Working Committee members and special invitees.
During the session, Working Committee members shared their insights and perspectives with the party leadership. The discussions will continue on Friday as the party reviews organizational priorities and public concerns.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, and Vice President and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, have expressed their deep condolences on the demise of the wife of former Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University, Muhammad Yasin Qadri.
The leaders also mourned the passing of Nazir Ahmad Zargar, brother of noted physician Dr. G.Q. Alaqband, and Khawaja Muhammad Yousuf Wani, brother of the late Mehraj Ud Din Wani, former owner and Editor-in-chief of Daily Srinagar News.
The duo also conveyed their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Among others Party’s General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq, MLA Chadoora Ali Muhammad Dar have also extended condolences to the bereaved households.
