SRINAGAR:District Development Council (DDC) Member, Srinagar, and Co-Incharge BJP Minority Morcha, Jammu & Kashmir, Er. Aijaz Hussain on Tuesday visited Fatehkadal to express his heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the families affected by the recent devastating fire incident.During his visit, Er. Aijaz Hussain interacted with the victim families, assured them of all possible support, and appreciated the role of J&K Police and local youths who acted swiftly and played a crucial role in saving lives during the tragedy.It is pertinent to mention that around seven houses were completely destroyed in the fire incident that occurred during the intervening night, leaving several families homeless and in distress.Acknowledging the prompt response of the district administration and various NGOs in extending relief to the affected families, Er. Aijaz Hussain urged the authorities to expedite the rehabilitation process. He appealed to the administration to provide land to the victims, as the damaged houses fall under the road widening project, making reconstruction at the same site impossible.Er. Aijaz Hussain emphasized that these families should not be left to suffer, especially with winter approaching, and called for immediate allocation of land and adequate compensation to ensure their safe resettlement.He reiterated his commitment to stand by the affected families and work closely with the concerned departments to ensure their rehabilitation and welfare.
