SRINAGAR: The Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has warmly welcomed the appointment of JKAS Senior Officer Naseer Ahmad Wani as the new Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK). Mr. Wani will take charge on October 31, 2025, following the superannuation of Dr. G.N. Itoo, the incumbent Director General of School Education Department Kashmir.
In a statement issued to the press, PSAJK extended its best wishes to Mr. Naseer Ahmad Wani and expressed hope that his tenure will further strengthen the education sector in the valley. Known for his administrative experience and dedication, Mr. Wani has previously served in several key positions across different departments, earning respect for his professional integrity and people-friendly approach.

His vast experience and deep understanding of public service will surely help address the challenges in our education sector. We hope that under his leadership, both government and private schools will work hand in hand to improve quality education, infrastructure and student welfare.”
Mr. Var also appreciated the outgoing Director General Dr. G.N. Itoo for his contributions and proactive approach toward improving educational standards in Kashmir.
The Private School’s Association J&K reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting the Department of School Education in all efforts aimed at enhancing the teaching-learning environment, ensuring accountability and promoting holistic development of students.
