HAJIN: The Civil Society Sonawari on Sunday held an important meeting at Jarok Park, during which members discussed various developmental concerns of the Sonawari region and formed a dedicated committee to pursue them.
The members unanimously resolved to fight for the genuine rights of Sonawari and to raise key developmental issues such as ensuring potable drinking water supply from Manasbal, Mini Secretariat in Sumbal, extending the railway line up to Bandipora, and improving healthcare infrastructure at both the state and central levels.
Speaking on the occasion, members stressed that Sonawari, despite its potential and population, continues to face neglect in several essential sectors. The newly formed committee vowed to take up these matters with the concerned authorities to ensure equitable development.
Those who attended the meeting included Chairman Bashir Ahmad Dar, Vice Chairman Dr. Abdul RashidChief Coordinator Sajad Ahmad Parray, Mohammad Yousuf Beigh, Executive Member Altaf Bhat, Joint secretary Master Ghulam Mohammad Wagay, Tantray,Secretary Abdul Majeed.
The meeting concluded with a pledge to continue efforts for the overall progress and upliftment of Sonawari.
