SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Muhammad Sagar Friday called upon the district administration to make comprehensive arrangements for the forthcoming annual Urs of Hazrat Khawaja Baha-ud-Din Naqshband (RA), to be observed at the revered shrine located at Khawaja Bazar, Srinagar.
In a statement, Sagar emphasized the spiritual and cultural importance of the Urs, which draws thousands of devotees from across the Valley. He urged the concerned departments to ensure all necessary facilities including uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation, traffic regulation, medical aid, and enhanced security measures are put in place well ahead of the occasion.
He also appealed for coordinated efforts between municipal authorities and the Waqf Board for shrine cleanliness, illumination, and maintenance, ensuring a smooth and respectful observance for all attendees.
“The Urs of Hazrat Khwaja Baha-ud-Din Naqshband (RA) holds immense religious significance. It is the duty of the administration to provide a hassle-free and spiritually enriching environment for devotees who gather to pay obeisance,” Sagar said.
