SSP Pulwama flags off students for Bharat Darshan tour

PULWAMA: Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), Police in Pulwama on Wednesday flagged off a group of 82 students from District Pulwama and Police Division Awantipora for a week-long Bharat Darshan Tour. The contingent is accompanied by 06 caretakers, including DySP DAR Pulwama. The tour was flagged off by SSP Pulwama Ms. P.D. Nitya-IPS at District Police Lines Pulwama in presence of other senior officers & officials of District Pulwama.
SSP Pulwama while interacting with the students, urged them to utilize this opportunity to broaden their horizons, learn about the nation’s cultural diversity, and imbibe the values of unity, peace, and brotherhood. She highlighted that the tour is designed to provide exposure to India’s history, heritage, development, and modern institutions, thereby boosting confidence and personality development.
The tour, fully sponsored by J&K Police, covers all logistics including air travel, boarding, lodging, guided visits, and AC transport. Students will visit New Delhi and Hyderabad, exploring historical monuments, educational institutions, tourist landmarks, and industrial units. Each participant has been provided with a complete tour kit including tracksuit, shoes, cap, and carry bag.
Parents and students expressed gratitude to J&K Police for this initiative, appreciating the effort to channelize youth energy positively through education, cultural exposure, and career awareness.
