SRINAGAR: As a part of public outreach programme and an initiative by Government of J&K, Police organized ‘Thana Diwas’ across various police establishments in PD Awantipora and PD Handwara.
These meetings were chaired by the respective jurisdictional police officers and witnessed active participation from community representatives, civil society members, trade associations, and other respected citizens of the concerned areas.
On the occasion, participants highlighted various issues of public importance, and they were assured by the chairing officers that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
Thana Diwas is an initiative started by the Government of J&K to bridge the gap between Police and Public and also to hear and redress the grievances of common masses.
