Umang Cricket Tournament in Bhopal
SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Sunday flagged-off JK Divyang Women’s Cricket Team for their participation in the Umang Cricket Tournament organized by Gauravdeep Welfare Society under the Divyang Cricket Control Board of India (DCCBI) in Bhopal from December 4 to 6, 2024.
Speaking on the flagging-off ceremony, the DC lauded the efforts of the Chotay Taray Foundation for organising the event symbolizing their dedication to fostering opportunities for Divyang women in sports.
While interacting with the players, the DC extended his best wishes to the team for their success in the tournament. He said that such events provide an opportunity to the participant players to showcase their talent, determination and sportsmanship.
The JK Divyang Women’s Cricket Team has been sponsored by Chotay Taray Foundation to empowering persons with special abilities through sports and inclusivity.
